The Law Office of Stanley J. Silverstone represents both employers and employees in a wide range of labor and employment law matters arising under federal, state, and local laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), the Railway Labor Act (RLA), and the New York State Labor Law.
Mr. Silverstone has over 20 years of litigation experience, including more than 15 years in the area of labor and employment law. He has handled cases in the trial and appellate courts of the State of New York, and in the federal trial and appellate courts in New York and throughout the country.
Prior to opening his firm, Mr. Silverstone practiced labor and employment law, and litigation, in New York City and White Plains.
Mr. Silverstone received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto, and his law degree from Dalhousie University. He was admitted to the New York bar in 1991, and to the bar of Ontario, Canada in 1989.
Mr. Silverstone is a member of the Rockland County Bar Association (RCBA), where he serves on its Employment Law Committee. He is also the Vice President of the Canadian American Bar Association.
